Why training matters and how it works
Investing in mandatory training protects the company and strengthens every employee. We explain the three formats — online, in-person and blended on-site — and the concrete benefits for those who provide training and those who receive it.
Training can take place in three formats. Online (e-learning): asynchronous, with full scheduling flexibility and no travel, ideal for dispersed teams or shift work. In-person: classroom-based, with a hands-on component and direct interaction with the trainer, suited to content that benefits from demonstration. Blended / on-site: combines online and in-person, with the trainer travelling to the company premises to tailor the training to the reality of each job.
For the company, structured training fulfils Article 131 of the Portuguese Labour Code (40 hours per worker per year) and avoids fines and penalties from ACT (Authority for Working Conditions). We provide reports ready for inspection, centralised management of all employees and DGERT certification with SIGO registration, of full legal value.
For the employee, training guarantees a legally recognised certificate and real skills for day-to-day work. In the online format, each person progresses at their own pace, resuming whenever most convenient, and finishes trained and certified, with a document that proves their qualification.

Frequently asked questions
What training formats are available?
There are three formats: online (e-learning), asynchronous with full scheduling flexibility; in-person in a classroom with a hands-on component; and blended / on-site, which combines online and in-person with the trainer travelling to your premises. You can choose the one that best fits your teams.
Does training help avoid ACT fines?
Yes. By fulfilling the 40 hours of mandatory training under Article 131 of the Labour Code with DGERT certification and SIGO registration, the company reduces the risk of penalties and has reports ready to present in ACT inspections.
Does the employee receive a recognised certificate?
Yes. At the end, each employee receives a legally valid certificate, registered in SIGO, that proves the training completed and the skills acquired.
Is online training done at each person's own pace?
Yes. The e-learning format is asynchronous: each employee progresses at their own pace, with no fixed schedules and no travel, resuming whenever most convenient.
